I had the honor of photographing Mariel and Michael’s stunning wedding at The Allan House in Austin, Texas, a venue known for its charm and elegance. From the moment I arrived, the excitement and joy were palpable. With a fantastic team of vendors, the couple’s day unfolded beautifully, and I’m thrilled to share the highlights of their special day.

The Venue: The Allan House
Located in the heart of Austin, The Allan House is the perfect blend of classic sophistication and rustic charm. With its inviting courtyard and beautiful indoor spaces, it set the stage for a truly unforgettable wedding. The team at The Allan House made sure every detail was seamless, from the ceremony to the reception.

  K.D. Tucker and his team at Austin Catering did an amazing job with the meal service. The guests were treated to delicious food, including creative dinner stations and the ever-popular churro and quesadilla bars for a late-night snack.

• DJ: Dart Collective
  DJ Sterling, kept the energy high all night long. Their seamless transitions and excellent music choices made the dance floor come alive.

• Florist: Flo.ReaL
  Jesse’s floral arrangements brought a romantic and organic feel to the venue. The stunning bouquets and installations added just the right touch of color and elegance.

• Hair & Makeup: Katy Reddell Beauty
  Yvonne and her team at Katy Reddell Beauty worked their magic on the bride and bridesmaids, ensuring they looked radiant for every moment of the day.

• Wedding Planner: Arch Events
  Monica and Allyson of Arch Events worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. From coordinating logistics to handling last-minute details, they were a dream team.

The Reception:

After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Allan House for the cocktail hour, followed by a beautiful reception under a tent. The evening included touching speeches, a delicious family-style dinner, and plenty of dancing. The newlyweds shared their first dance to “You Sexy Thing” by Hot Chocolate, while guests enjoyed a fun-filled dance set and delicious late-night bites from Austin Catering.

One of the highlights of the evening was the couple’s grand entrance into the reception, followed by the energetic dance floor moments. The night wrapped up with a bouquet toss and guests enjoying churros and quesadillas from the catering team.

As a photographer, my goal is always to document the day in a way that tells the unique story of the couple. For Mariel and Michael, I had the privilege of capturing everything from their intimate first look to the high-energy dance floor moments. The portraits were particularly special, as I guided them through a few spots around the venue, capturing their love and connection in the most natural way possible.
