Asia Society Houston Wedding (Evelyn & Jay)
"I met Jay 9 years ago when I was a freshman at Rice. I started growing an interest in him when I saw the way he loves God, music, and people. My fondest memory of him was when he passed out after cleaning his car and was late to pick me up for our first date. I should have realized that he was already showing me a glimpse of his constant sleep deprivation, which was actually pretty humorous for me. We started dating a month later - October 2010. Since then, our time together has been full of adventures and tons of traveling and sleepless days. I can't remember a time when life was ever boring with him.
Jay has lived in Dallas, Chicago, Minnesota, and China in the 5 out of 8 years that we had dated. The long distance was definitely not easy, but by the grace of God, we got through the challenges. We got engaged January 10, 2018 and married May 26, 2018.
The wedding day was possibly one of our favorite last memories of our time in Houston. We absolutely loved our vendors and our House Party executed our wedding plans beautifully! There were definitely a couple little mishaps here and there but it made the day all the more memorable and fun for us.
Houston has such a special place in our hearts and some of the BEST people we've met. Will miss Houston dearly but we are excited for our new adventure in sleepless Seattle!" -Evelyn
